I went there 2x to double check my lenses. He gave me one that wasn't good first, and the second one it's better. My optometrist in Vancouver used to make many tests and it was a 40 min - 1h consultation. At this one, it was basic and fast. I believe it's an ok doctor. Not the best.
My family and I find Dr. Slivka the best optometrist in Toronto. Look no further. You will always find him available to answer your questions and to book appointments. I have never been asked to pay for extra exams or to buy things from the store, which is mostly the case elsewhere. He is excellent and engaging with my little kids. Very knowledgeable and caring doctor.
We had originally gone to another doctor in the area where there was always a 3 week wait. Dr. Jonathan Slivka at Leaside Family Eyecare was able to see my son and daughter the same day. He had patience and engaged my kids to the point were they had fun and wanted to ask question and learn more about the eye exam. Not only did we find out they did not need glasses and their eyes are healthy, both kids are looking forward to their next exam with Dr. Slivka in 12 months.
